What is better than a new horror feature about a female werewolf? Not much, I had a think about it and yeah, not much. Lucky for us there are still creatives who understand this NEED for movies with plots such as this one and Eric Winkler is one of them; a fairly new on the market writer who has bought us not only a new horror movie but has done so with the sharp bite of woman empowerment. Inhumane is, as said, a female led werewolf movie in which our main character Lisa has something horrific happen...hold on, let me have the brains behind the movie tell you a little what it’s about, that’s right Velvet-ians, I got to speak to the man himself; Where did the idea for Inhumane come from and made you want to write it? ERIC: My original thought was "I want to write a movie with a really badass woman as the lead character." Basically, I thought it'd be cool if we had her be a superhero, but her superpower is that she's a werewolf. Well, originally I couldn...
Here is my most latest interview with actor and Skins star Ollie Barbieri, where I got the chance to ask him general questions around the subject of his acting passion and career. This was a great interview for me as being a fan of his roles both in Skins and well known movie Anvahood. Rather than ranting on to you about things you already know, I found that Ollie's replies where so straight forward, clear and honest that I am just going to post the full interview below! Hope you enjoy it and relate to it as much I did, here is Ollie Barbieri and how he got the word ACTOR next to his name: How did you get into acting? It was back when I was in school. I was 16 and I’d had a minor fall out with my best mate. For this reason I decided I wasn’t going to spend lunchtime with him and my normal group of friends (that’ll show him!). I had heard that there was an audition going on in the drama hall for Skins that lunchtime so I though why not, I’d always enjoyed drama and perfor...
Moviepilot.com/Warner Bros. The Outsiders is an american drama movie adaptation of S. E. Hinton's book with the same title. It was realised in 1983 and had a cast of many familiar faces before they were as familiar and famous as they are today; Matt Dillon, Tom Cruise, Rob Lowe, Patrick Swayze and pre-Karate Kid Ralph Macchio, with C. Thomas Howell as the lead. The film tackled themes of class, brotherhood and murder and caught it all in a gritty, honest and beautiful bubble. Simply unforgettable. This cult classic was directed by one of the greats Francis Ford Coppola whose name stands against the ever lasting titles of The Godfather, Apocalypse Now and one of my favourites, Bram Stoker's Dracula. With all these fantastic names behind it, from my point of view, I'm surprised it's as cult and underrated as it is. However with that being said, I learnt just how large the ever growing fan base for this movie was when the key character of the movie was due to be ...
