'Imagine' A Quick Piece by Me. (& Photo Reel)

Image
Earlier on in the week my housemate let me borrow his camera so I went around taking some shots when I came up with this idea and thus this quick piece was created. It is quick simply, an artist 30 seconds that is a  recognition of the human race taking things for granted until they become nothing, but they will never realize that in all their selfishness. I like the visual impacts of dystopian and apocalyptic situations and locations and I couldn't help but think about if it really happened, and then I couldn't help thinking, is anyone else thinking about this?  Here are some of the shots I took that inspired this small piece and the piece itself right at the bottom. And you can find the short piece 'IMAGINE' right here: VF.

Dillon Schohr; A Pioneering With a Trilogy.

Image
It has taken me longer than it should've to post this wonderful interview with independent filmmaker Dillon Schohr; but finally, here it is. Instead of taking over some of his answers like some sites do, I have decided to make this piece purely his interview and all the links you need to become a well and deserved fan. Dillon and fellow friend and filmmaker Taylor Silk have created what they titled 'The Desert Trilogy' which are three short films that are beautiful, abstract and almost enchanting as every second leaves you wanting to know more, makes you itch to know 'what's next?'  So here below is the interview I did with Dillon on his experience making the Desert Trilogy and his inspiration for such interesting pieces.  What is your inspiration for your trilogy? My inspiration for the trilogy came from after finishing the first film Alone. I realized that I wanted to keep utilizing that location and that I had more stories to tell out there. That'

Prison Break; Back For More.

Image
Many people are getting excited as FOX finally confirmed, in their own words, the return of much loved TV show Prison Break , talk is saying that the show will have a 10 episode event series. The award nominated show based on two brothers and a gang of scheming fellow prisoner escapees first aired in 2005 and lasted to 2009, but excitement of dedicated and curious fans shows that this epic Prison Break   reprisal is a long way from over doing it. We can expect to see Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell back in roles of Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows. Now you may be thinking, 'wait, how does that work since Scofield sacrificed himself for Sara' but FOX fellows have spoken out and mentioned that the new series will pick up from season four but previously to the movie finale, thus Scofield is still breathing! Taking all that has happened into account, we cannot even imagine where they are going to go with this, the suspense and need-to-know feeling you have in your g

Life; DeHaan is Dean.

Image
Image taken from D. DeHaan Official Facebook. There have been many documentaries and movie adaptions of the life of the talented and widely remembered man that is James Dean, with the legends shoes being worn by many, including James Franco in the 2001 film James Dean . Now, we can expect to see the idol again, this time being portrayed by Dane DeHaan, best known for roles in Chronicle , Kill Your Darlings and The Amazing Spider-man 2. This year Life is going to be released with Robert Pattinson walking alongside DeHaan; this film has already been quoted to be a masterpiece of film making and I can only hope that the cinematography of this movie is going to be as beautiful and unforgettable as Dean himself, as the premise of the film is about a photographer from Life magazine taking images of Dean through his days. Now I can easily sat that I don't really have any doubts about this movie, and that's not just because I am a fan of Dane; I should be worried that yet aga

Palo Alto (2013) Review.

Image
Cast; Jack Kilmer, James Franco, Nat Wolf, Emma Roberts. Directed & Written By; Gia Coppola. Based on; 'Palo Alto' by James Franco. 'Palo Alto'   is an American drama adaptation of James Franco's book of the same title. 'Palo Alto' is a stylish, indie-esque feature that portrays a part in the lives of several teens as they struggle with love, first times, drugs and themselves. I am a sucker for these gritty movies of angst and with fellow Virgin Suicides fan Gia Coppola being the director of this past feature, these characters were shown clearly for all their faults, failures and momentary happiness. The film follows several characters from Franco's book of reckless and accidental teens including; Teddy Morrison, Fred and April, played by well known and constantly rising stars Jack Kilmer, Nat Wolf and Emma Roberts. According to my research and obsessive special feature watching, this was Jack Kilmer's first movie, me

Share With Me Your Brightest Colors; Share The Love.

Image
Still Taken From 'Share With Me Your Brightest Colors' Crowdfunding page.  Last year, you may have seen, I did a piece on an independent film titled ' Live, Life, Dearest ', it was easily one of the most beautiful and refreshingly profound indie films I had ever seen; and I say HAD since Juan Diego Escobar (Writer, Director, Editor +) has out done himself. The wonderful Juan and his crew have pushed the boundaries of indie film with his new project titled ' Share With Me Your Brightest Colors '; "It is a nostalgic portrayal of a heartbroken girl, starting off on a personal pilgrimage to find herself and to find God. But soon enough, she realizes she is darker than she thought, for both Darkness and Light live within her".  This film is truthful, stunning and I guarantee unforgettable. It is not afraid to remind us that where we are good, we are also evil. This story delves in the body of human, of animal, of female and most controversial
