Still Taken From 'Share With Me Your Brightest Colors' Crowdfunding page.
Last year, you may have seen, I did a piece on an independent film titled 'Live, Life, Dearest', it was easily one of the most beautiful and refreshingly profound indie films I had ever seen; and I say HAD since Juan Diego Escobar (Writer, Director, Editor +) has out done himself.
The wonderful Juan and his crew have pushed the boundaries of indie film with his new project titled 'Share With Me Your Brightest Colors'; "It is a nostalgic portrayal of a heartbroken girl, starting off on a personal pilgrimage to find herself and to find God. But soon enough, she realizes she is darker than she thought, for both Darkness and Light live within her".
This film is truthful, stunning and I guarantee unforgettable. It is not afraid to remind us that where we are good, we are also evil. This story delves in the body of human, of animal, of female and most controversially, of religion; "I still wonder, if God lives within me, so does the Devil", the truthful-ness of this film rests in the fact that we are liars to ourselves, to this most common and familiar aspect of our nature that we refuse to accept and this film refuses to ignore.
The cinematography and direction in this film portrays different locations as almost different world's, creating one within itself. There is clearness and tranquility in these shots as we are shown every needed piece of nature. Something I like about this feature is that you don't need to use your imagination but it does pull your imagination out and you can become the character as well as being it's follower.
Now this talented team have done all they can to offer you mental transportation and deep contemplation whilst being entertained, but here's where you come in; 'Share With Me Your Brightest Colors'is currently crowdfunding to make sure it will live up to all it can be and with your support we can thoroughly spread this film around the world so that all can see it; but don't worry, especially the British, they aren't asking for your help for nothing! Moviepilot.com/Warner Bros. The Outsiders is an american drama movie adaptation of S. E. Hinton's book with the same title. It was realised in 1983 and had a cast of many familiar faces before they were as familiar and famous as they are today; Matt Dillon, Tom Cruise, Rob Lowe, Patrick Swayze and pre-Karate Kid Ralph Macchio, with C. Thomas Howell as the lead. The film tackled themes of class, brotherhood and murder and caught it all in a gritty, honest and beautiful bubble. Simply unforgettable. This cult classic was directed by one of the greats Francis Ford Coppola whose name stands against the ever lasting titles of The Godfather, Apocalypse Now and one of my favourites, Bram Stoker's Dracula. With all these fantastic names behind it, from my point of view, I'm surprised it's as cult and underrated as it is. However with that being said, I learnt just how large the ever growing fan base for this movie was when the key character of the movie was due to be
What is better than a new horror feature about a female werewolf? Not much, I had a think about it and yeah, not much. Lucky for us there are still creatives who understand this NEED for movies with plots such as this one and Eric Winkler is one of them; a fairly new on the market writer who has bought us not only a new horror movie but has done so with the sharp bite of woman empowerment. Inhumane is, as said, a female led werewolf movie in which our main character Lisa has something horrific happen...hold on, let me have the brains behind the movie tell you a little what it’s about, that’s right Velvet-ians, I got to speak to the man himself; Where did the idea for Inhumane come from and made you want to write it? ERIC: My original thought was "I want to write a movie with a really badass woman as the lead character." Basically, I thought it'd be cool if we had her be a superhero, but her superpower is that she's a werewolf. Well, originally I couldn
Call Me By Your Name is a coming-of-age drama, adapted from Andre Aciman’s 2007 novel of the same name. The story, set in 1980’s Italy, follows 17 year old Elio and the love that blossoms between him and an older grad student staying with him and his family for the summer, named Oliver. This gem that is taking the festival circuit, and soon the cinema, by storm is directed by Luca Guadagnino, who we know for films such as A Bigger Splash and I Am Love and with Armie Hammer and breakthrough actor, Timothee Chalamet as the forefront of this movie, who can truly have any doubts before watching?!?! Since I saw a preview screening of Call Me By Your Name yesterday, I have been trying to figure out some structure for a review; something similar to how I’ve always reviewed, you know, ramble too much, talk more about my inability to hate movies and then write a line about the movie itself, but, and not surprisingly, that wasn’t working for a piece on this film. Trying to write a bor
