'Imagine' A Quick Piece by Me. (& Photo Reel)

Earlier on in the week my housemate let me borrow his camera so I went around taking some shots when I came up with this idea and thus this quick piece was created. It is quick simply, an artist 30 seconds that is a recognition of the human race taking things for granted until they become nothing, but they will never realize that in all their selfishness. I like the visual impacts of dystopian and apocalyptic situations and locations and I couldn't help but think about if it really happened, and then I couldn't help thinking, is anyone else thinking about this?

Here are some of the shots I took that inspired this small piece and the piece itself right at the bottom.

And you can find the short piece 'IMAGINE' right here:

Dillon Schohr; A Pioneering With a Trilogy.

It has taken me longer than it should've to post this wonderful interview with independent filmmaker Dillon Schohr; but finally, here it is. Instead of taking over some of his answers like some sites do, I have decided to make this piece purely his interview and all the links you need to become a well and deserved fan. Dillon and fellow friend and filmmaker Taylor Silk have created what they titled 'The Desert Trilogy' which are three short films that are beautiful, abstract and almost enchanting as every second leaves you wanting to know more, makes you itch to know 'what's next?'

So here below is the interview I did with Dillon on his experience making the Desert Trilogy and his inspiration for such interesting pieces.

What is your inspiration for your trilogy?
My inspiration for the trilogy came from after finishing the first film Alone. I realized that I wanted to keep utilizing that location and that I had more stories to tell out there. That's when Nea…

Prison Break; Back For More.

Many people are getting excited as FOX finally confirmed, in their own words, the return of much loved TV show Prison Break, talk is saying that the show will have a 10 episode event series.

The award nominated show based on two brothers and a gang of scheming fellow prisoner escapees first aired in 2005 and lasted to 2009, but excitement of dedicated and curious fans shows that this epic Prison Breakreprisal is a long way from over doing it. We can expect to see Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell back in roles of Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows. Now you may be thinking, 'wait, how does that work since Scofield sacrificed himself for Sara' but FOX fellows have spoken out and mentioned that the new series will pick up from season four but previously to the movie finale, thus Scofield is still breathing!

Taking all that has happened into account, we cannot even imagine where they are going to go with this, the suspense and need-to-know feeling you have in your gut is what…

Life; DeHaan is Dean.

There have been many documentaries and movie adaptions of the life of the talented and widely remembered man that is James Dean, with the legends shoes being worn by many, including James Franco in the 2001 film James Dean. Now, we can expect to see the idol again, this time being portrayed by Dane DeHaan, best known for roles in Chronicle, Kill Your Darlings and The Amazing Spider-man 2.

This year Life is going to be released with Robert Pattinson walking alongside DeHaan; this film has already been quoted to be a masterpiece of film making and I can only hope that the cinematography of this movie is going to be as beautiful and unforgettable as Dean himself, as the premise of the film is about a photographer from Life magazine taking images of Dean through his days.

Now I can easily sat that I don't really have any doubts about this movie, and that's not just because I am a fan of Dane; I should be worried that yet again they are trying to portray someone who can never be r…

Palo Alto (2013) Review.

Cast; Jack Kilmer, James Franco, Nat Wolf, Emma Roberts.
Directed & Written By; Gia Coppola.
Based on; 'Palo Alto' by James Franco.

'Palo Alto' is an American drama adaptation of James Franco's book of the same title.

'Palo Alto' is a stylish, indie-esque feature that portrays a part in the lives of several teens as they struggle with love, first times, drugs and themselves. I am a sucker for these gritty movies of angst and with fellow Virgin Suicides fan Gia Coppola being the director of this past feature, these characters were shown clearly for all their faults, failures and momentary happiness.

The film follows several characters from Franco's book of reckless and accidental teens including; Teddy Morrison, Fred and April, played by well known and constantly rising stars Jack Kilmer, Nat Wolf and Emma Roberts. According to my research and obsessive special feature watching, this was Jack Kilmer's first movie, meaning the first scene he did was…

Regression (2015); The Tension is Rising.

This film is not out till mid-August this year but I can already fill the tension of this film coming. I find for some it's hard to make a good and unpredictable psychological thriller; however, with The Others director Alejandro Amenabar behind both the directing AND writing wheel of Regression, I have no doubt that the edge of our seats will not remain empty for long.

This films cast includes revolutionary actors; Emma Watson, Ethan Hawke and David Thewlis, three professionals who take their work seriously and explode passion of the piece over everything they have done or will do. We have recently seen Hawke in a more thriller light since his main role in horror film Sinister and Thewlis has shown us he can be the sinister one in films like Stonehearst Asylum, but I have to admit, the excitement I can feel for this film is the nervous-ness and curiosity of Watson playing a deep and disturbed role such is the part of Angela. I have complete faith in the Harry Potter & Perks o…

The Frankenstein Man.

With the upcoming Victor Frankenstein movie we can’t help but get pumped up, so before you get too excited, let’s take a moment to move the monster out the way and acknowledge the man standing behind him.
Frankenstein is one of the most beloved ‘monster’ stories of all time, but it’s not just the Shelley novel that sparked this cult obsession with the creature that defies both life and death; it is the hundreds of movies & TV shows in which Frankenstein himself has been portrayed and turned into one of the greatest anti-hero’s in film history. However, over the decades since the 1930’s the key question has since changed, who is the true Frankenstein monster; creature or creator?
In many renditions of the story, Victor Frankenstein has been portrayed as crazy, miserable, broken, obsessive, scared and many other negativities of emotion and idea, but the doctor may be more simpler described and labelled than with cognitive issues and science; the strong underlying purpose of the doctor…

Timothy Murphy; Good Work, Good Role.

Timothy Murphy is another great Irish actor who has played some great roles over the recent years, some of these roles include award winning TV Shows Sons of Anarchy and True Detective, as well as his spot as 'Fritz' on Disney's movie The Lone Ranger.

When asking Murphy about his career as an actor, he simply told me that it began by him trying "an acting class in Miami...liked it". To the point answer that makes me think about it more, there is a great idea that floats around this; and that is that in one spur of the moment decision or a want for a new hobby or just to try something new, talents flare gun has shot and has now created another actor who will go down in film history with his work.

Murphy's credits of roles are in the region of 80 and are constantly growing, so I asked him, as I always do, about his inspirations when it comes to not just playing a role but also picking one and he couldn't of given me a better common sense answer; "A go…

Insomnia; This Is My Insomnia. Photo Reel.

Here is the photo reel for the short film I just uploaded:

Insomnia: This Is My Insomnia. Short Film.

Hey guys, I got a new editing computer so I've been playing about with it and have created a few small films that are experimental representations of certain things I struggle with; the first one is Insomnia. It's just a quick film that I used to portray the beauty, the ugliness, distortion and floating of insomnia, I hope you like it! Also soon I will posting a video version of the photo reel of this film!
Here it is:

Sia 'Elastic Heart' Video; Nothing But Art!

Right since everyone else is going mental and voicing their extreme argument about Sia’s video for her new single ‘Elastic Heart’ I thought I’d stoop to their level to voice mine. I’d like to start on an unprofessional level by saying that people’s comments about ‘sexual tension’, ‘sexual dancing’, etc are ridiculous; I say this not to be a dick but as an appreciator of art and that’s all this video is, art. It’s been a long time since a music video has made my eyes moist until I saw this video, as a fan of Shia LaBeouf I am not surprised his portrayal was emotion filled and hypnotic and as for Maddie, she is younger than most of us with talent I can only dream of gathering. With saying that I don’t think their talent was used to make a video with underlying tones of sex and paedophilia, we leave borderline offensive sex appeal with Nicki Minaj and the rest. Which leads me to another point; why is everyone moaning about a video with contemporary dance yet barely anyone moaned about t…
